The title of the game : L the proLogue to DEATH NOTE-螺旋の罠-(Ra sen no trap)
it's one of the latest game released on 7th Feb 2008.Some said that this was based on the movie,L Change the World, the Official Site
Here's the official site of the game,http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/deathnote/index.html
A short introduction of the game.
You're an FBI agent who got kidnapped while on an investigation. You are trapped in a building, and the apparent goal of the game is to work your way out of the building. You are given a communication device, so you can communicate with L, and he will give you instructions and hints from time to time.
The game play is like an adventure game: you move from room to room, and in each room you search the furniture for tools and items. For some mysterious reason, many expendable tools (such as screwdrivers, scissors, hammers, etc.) are lying around in the building for your use. Sometimes you will run into a trap when you search a furniture or try to open a door. There are several kinds of 'common' traps, in the form of various kinds of bombs which you must disarm. When you encounter one, the game zooms into the trap and you work on it by clicking around with your stylus. First, you must try to identify your goal, such as to detach the explosives from the set-off device. Then, you work on the parts of the bomb, often expending tools in the process. Completing certain tasks (such as cutting the correct wire or pressing the correct switch) will increase the "success percentage". When you feel confident, you can attempt the goal. Success or failure is decided by a timing trial: a dot moves back and forth between two lines, and you must try to stop the dot within the success area, width of which depends on your "success percentage". If you fail, you will lose a lot of time, and if time runs out, it's kaboom! The trap will also blow up if you do something wrong and set it off (such as cutting the wrong wire). Some traps have two steps, so you must continue working after clearing the first goal. For example, you may have to first remove the lid, and then defuse the bomb.
Sometimes you will find key items, and there are some special traps. At the end of each floor there is a major trap (comparable to a boss fight). It is a complicated trap with several steps, and you'll need several key items you can find on the floor.
When you clear a trap, you gain experience and levels. Your level gives you a higher starting success percentage for the common traps. You can try to save tools by attempting a goal at a lower percentage (without completing all the steps), if you are confident with your timing, or if you have lots of time left to afford a failure or two.
You'll get "keywords" during certain events. After you clear a major trap, there will be a logic session with L. From the keywords you have learned, you choose four to try to figure out something about your kidnapper.
The game is quite fun, although a bit repetitive because there seems to be a limited number of different types of everyday traps, and they are recycled often. It is not a game with a lot of text, since much of the interface is graphical point-and-click, but the messages you do get are often quite critical, so I won't say that the game is playable without knowing the language. But if you know a little and can use a dictionary, it's not too much text so you should be able to work it out.

As stated above, players really need at least, know how to read hira and katagana.
Other than the normal story mode, there's also another option called the L communicator :D.Where players got to interact with L,chatting and offering him various snacks :D to increase the intimacy level.(I'm making him sounds like a pet= =),as the level increases, the way he address you during story mode will change too :D!Of course,in some scenes when L would speak, there would be voice too!Not just seeing the image along,I supposed the voice belongs to L's CV in the anime o_o.....I doubt that the voice belongs to Matsuyama.....More likely to be Yamaguchi's voice :X correct me if I'm wrong ;D.

Also, there's special events too.Let's take for example, today, which is the Valentine's day(:, when player entered the communicator, they would unlock a new sweet, which is the Valentine Chocolate :D,give it to L and the rest is for the player to know ;D.
Other than Valentine's day,L's birthday(31st Oct),player's birthday,special events will take place too^^
