Yuki was originally a girl,the princess of the Gio(祇王) family~_~ also,Luka's lover .
So far,till vol 4,Oda sensei has yet to reveale about Yuki's death.
In vol 1, Yuki seemed to be under some spell or curse that she would went berserk.So she told Luka to kill her(With his ability-_- one strike would do).-_-'' kinda pathetic.
Yet he did it,but with a promise before Yuki's last breathe.
Promise that no matter what happened, he would not betray Yuki.
So Yuki,from a girl-3-'' reincarnated as a GUY!!!!!......(but Luka has never thought of telling Yuki about their past.)
That's also why this is labled as shounen ai,BL-____-''... Yuki has no impression of his past(but he's starting to see dreams ,pieces and bits of his past)

Lotsa action scenes in this manga |D ,characters are hawties too ^^
Mehz....although it's not my type but I kinda,interested to see progress in their relationship LOL.but expect nothing explicit -_-(so far I've never seen anything more than kissing in Oda's work)
